About John H. Moore

John resides in San Diego, California, where he is an avid SCUBA diver and photographer—both above and below water.  Having returned to California in 2009, after five years in the Midwest, he has begun to explore the wild areas of the Southwest United States and hopes to do much more of this in the future.

John has been photographing for 15–20 years now, and seriously photographing using higher-end digital SLRs for about five years.  He only began photographing underwater in the summer of 2010, and is still working out exactly where those strobes need to be placed!

Above water gear:  Nikon D700 and a variety of pro-level lenses.

Below water gear:  Nikon D200 in a Sea&Sea housing with dual Sea&Sea strobes.

This photo blog was begun in April 2011.  A few initial posts using older photos have been entered, just to help with blog setup, but future posts will likely be as new sets of photos are taken.
